Not brash — attentive. "Gallant" once described someone who showed up properly for the people relying on them. "Lexis" is simply the word for the language of law. That's the whole idea: show up properly, and make the law legible.
Three decades, one family, one practice
Gallant Lexis LLP carries forward the legacy of Adv. S. Vijayakumaran, who began practicing law in 1989 at the Vanchiyoor and Nedumangad court stations in Thiruvananthapuram. For over three decades, his practice was built on the kind of trust that only comes from showing up, case after case, in the same courts and the same communities.
That legacy took its present shape when his two sons completed their LLB — in 2021 and 2022 — and enrolled as advocates. Together, the three of them established Gallant Lexis LLP, and what had been a single-advocate practice grew into a firm with its own offices in Ernakulam, Attingal and Neyyattinkara, alongside the original Thiruvananthapuram base. The firm has since built a particular stronghold in civil litigation and criminal litigation, while continuing to serve the property, family and NRI matters that have always been part of a general practice rooted in Kerala.
It remains, at its core, a family firm — one where continuity of judgment across three advocates, and three decades, is the actual product being offered.
